Perante a legislação brasileira: - toda EMPRESA é obrigada a possuir um domicílio fiscal público e localizável para registro nos órgãos oficiais (Junta Comercial, Receita Federal e Prefeituras). - os dados cadastrais de uma Pessoa Jurídica (incluindo o domicílio fiscal) são de interesse público e não são protegidos por sigilo fiscal. Os dados anonimizados não serão considerados dados pessoais para os fins desta Lei, salvo quando o processo de anonimização ao qual foram submetidos for revertido, utilizando exclusivamente meios próprios, ou quando, com esforços razoáveis, puder ser revertido. (Art. 12º) O registro empresarial é regido pelo princípio da publicidade. Isso significa que a composição societária de qualquer empresa é uma informação pública e obrigatória por lei para garantir a transparência do mercado, a segurança de credores e a fiscalização do Estado. A LGPD protege as informações de pessoas físicas (naturais), não se aplicando aos dados cadastrais públicos das empresas.
